2026 Women in Criminal Justice Conference

The Women in Criminal Justice Conference (WICJ), hosted by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas (CMIT), is an empowering annual event dedicated to supporting and advancing the contributions of women across all areas of the criminal justice system. This dynamic conference welcomes all professionals—women and men alike—who are committed to fostering leadership, collaboration, and personal growth.

Bringing together individuals from law enforcement, corrections, probation, parole, courts, and academia, the conference features engaging keynote speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and meaningful networking opportunities. Topics include leadership development, wellness and resilience, career advancement, ethics, and the evolving challenges and achievements of women working in criminal justice. Cancellation Policy: If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
