Texas Jail Association Regionals - Inside the Lawsuit: Legal Risks That Define Corrections

Equip staff to recognize, prevent, and respond to legal risks that most commonly result in liability, lawsuits, and policy violations in county jails.
Training is free for Texas Jail Association members. Nonmembers will pay a fee of $45 per registration. Participants will receive TCOLE credit and a complimentary TJA membership after fee is paid.

Business Casual
Clothing should be professional, and no caps/hats or shorts are permitted. Slacks, khakis, skirts, dresses, button-downs, or blouses are acceptable. It is always recommended to bring a light jacket in case the training room is cold.

Steps to register for parking:
1. Click here to Order Parking Permit, https://txstate.aimsparking.com/permits/?cmd=new_event (Do Not use the login button at the top of the Page)
2. Select Department Sponsored Events / Meetings
3. Select TCOL Training Event 04/17/26
4. Enter Voucher Code TCTE26 and click Apply Voucher.
5. Click permit type Dept. Paid Event that will now be visible directly above the voucher code you entered.
6. Click add vehicle button, enter vehicle information, click the add button at the bottom.
7. Enter your Name and click Confirm followed by the red continue button.
8. Scroll to the bottom of the Checkout page. Enter your email address for receipt and email attachment with permit and parking information/instructions.

Cancellation Policy: If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
